Chikki is delicious mouth watering and is usually brittle. It is a traditional Indian sweet, made usually to celebrate makar sakranti, the last day of winter and the beginning of harvesting season. Its base is either sugar or jaggery. It can be made with any kinds of nuts but most common is peanuts and sesame seeds. It is made in many parts of the world and carries different names. In Brasil it is called pé de moleque. It can be cut into squares or rolled into small bolls. Any kind of nuts used should be lightly roasted.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Jaggery/Sugar
- 1 cup Sesame Seeds
- 1/2 Tsp Ghee
Instructions
- Roast lightly sesame seeds
- Pour ghee in a pan
- Add jaggery cook till it melts
- It changes the color and starts bubbling
- Add sesame seeds to jaggery
- Mix well till it leaves the pan
- Drop the mixture on parchment paper
- Open into a thin pizza Using rolling pin
- Cut right away into squares or make small bolls
- Store in airtight container.
