Burfee

Burfee or milk cake are similar and very easy to prepare. Only a few  ingredients make this awesome and delicious burfee. There are many variations of burfee but this is the simplest recipe. Can also be added nuts and resins. Every corner sweet shop sell burfee in India. But they make from khoya, thick evaporated milk, that tastes little different from made with ricotta.( Burfee ou doce de ricotta é um doce fácil de preparar e delicioso. Method:
On medium heat melt butter in a frying pan.
Add ricotta cheese and cook till it thickens (more or less 5 minutes after it starts bubbling)
Remove from the stove mix and add little by little milk powder.
After adding all of the milk powder take back to stove on medium heat, cook for a few minutes ( till it starts bubbling).
Add sugar mix and keep on stove till sugar melts remove from heat.
Add cardamom powder and mix.
Transfer the mixture to greased Pyrex or microwave safe 14.41 x 9.41 x 2.6 tray and spread it evenly.
Take the tray to microwave for 3 minutes, after 3 minutes remove and mix and spread evenly.
Take the tray again to microwave for 2 minutes, mix and take again to microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, till it starts getting pinkish in color.
Let it cool at room temperature then cut into diamond shape or in squares.
